MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 13, 1998 <br />Fahey suggested that there may be the need to update the City's <br />thoroughfare plan as well. Scalze pointed out that the City Planner had <br />prepared a thoroughfare plan for updated areas of the City, and suggested <br />that this }~lan be reviewed. <br />The Administrator indicated that the pavement management plan <br />wili provide the City with much needed information as we plan for the <br />future. The cost of the pavement management plan is at a not-to-exceed <br />rate of $8,500. <br />The City Engineer repoited that once the work is done, the plan can be <br />updated periodically. The Engineer reported that his o~ce can do the <br />upolting or City staff can be responsible for it. Resolution declared adopted. <br />TENNIS The City Administrator reviewed the Uids received for lighting ofthe <br />COURT teni~is courts ii~ Pioueer Park. The AdininisYraTOr reported that staff is <br />LIGHTING recommending the Alternative A bid package whicii involves Musko <br />fixtures. It is felt tl~at these are superior fixtures to the others which were <br />bid. The low bidder is IUein Electric in the amount of $17,500. <br />Scalze pointed out that the City received a clonation of $40,000 for <br />lightiu~ in Pioneer Park. The Administrltor agreed and indicaYed that this <br />is the first phase of the ligl~ting program ii~ the Park. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resoluYion and moved its adoption: <br />
