MINUT~S CITY COUNCIL MAY 27, 1998 Morelan asked what type of time commitment would be required for committee members. The Administrator thougl~t that the committee would meet once per month for the next year beginning in August, 1998. Council discussed involvement by City staff and the Council on the committee. The Administrator indicated that City staffwould serve in a support role to the committee. Scalze pointed out that since the committee would be advisory to the Council, Council Members should not be on the committee. It was suggested that it may be beneficial to have joint meetings of the committee and the Council on a quarterly basis. TRANSF~R Council reviewed the request of AMF Bowling Worldwide for transfer OF LIQUOR of the on-s11e liquor license and Sunday liquor license, as well as tobacco LICENSE - and other pe~7ii~ent licenses From Harvey Anderson, Saxon Lanes, to AMF SAXON LAN~S Bowling Worldwide. AMF Bowling is purchasing the Saxon Lanes from Mr. Anderson. In ~ddition to the transfer for the licenses which iun tl~rou~h June 30, 1998, AMF Bowling is re~uestin~ approval of the renewals for the license period July l, 1998 through June 30, 1999. Staff reportecl that the application materials are complete. LaValle aslced about the impact this transfer may have on the redevelopment of this tirea. The CiYy Administrator re}~orted that he has been iu cont~ct with AMF Bowling, ai~d they have indicated a willingness to work with the City, and he has made them aware of the possible interest iu a portion of the parl<in~ lot by a private developer.
