MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 17, 1998 <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 98-12-297- RESCHEDULING THE JANUARY <br />13, 1999 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING TO THURSDAY, <br />JANUARY 14, 1999 COMMENCING AT 7:30 P. M. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />APPOINTMENTS The City Administrator reported that there are four vacancies on the <br />TO THE Planning Commission commencing on January 1, 1999. Three are <br />PLANNING for three-year terms and one is for a two-year term. Two incumbents, <br />COMMISSION Dan Knudsen and Rick Montour, have applied for reappointment. <br />Applications were also received from Tom Duray, Faith Kraemer, and <br />Dennis Rogalla. <br />By ballot of the Council, Dan Knudsen, Rick Montour, and Tom Duray <br />were appointed to three-year terms on the Planning Commission while <br />Faith Kraemer was appointed to a two-year term. <br />APPOINTMENTS The City Administrator reported that there are three vacancies on the <br />TO THE PARKS Parks & Recreation Commission commencing January 1, 1999. All are <br />& RECREATION for three-year terms. Incumbents Karen 7ohnson, Gin~er Sackett Glaser, <br />COMMISSION and Matt Anderson applied for reappointment. David Gray also applied <br />for appointment to the Commission. <br />By ballot of the Council, Karen Johnson, Ginger Sackett Glaser, and Matt <br />Anderson were appointed to three-year terms on the Parks & Recreation <br />Commission. <br />LEGAL Morelan reported that a group of City representatives met with <br />NEWSPAPER representatives of the Roseville/Little Canada Review to discuss issues <br />& related to the City's legal newspaper. Morelan felt the meeting was a <br />PUBLICATION productive one and opened lines of communication. Morelan stated that <br />OF MINUTES since that meeting he has been thinking about the City's legal <br />requirements for publishing meeting notices, minutes etc. and suggested <br />there may be different ways to accomplish what it needs to at less cost. <br />Fahey sug~ested that an alternative to publishing minutes in the City's <br />legal newspaper may be to post these minutes on a Web site and/or mail <br />minutes to citizens who are interested in receiving them. <br />20 <br />
