MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 14, 1999 <br />At this point in the meeting, 8:50 P.M., power was re-established. The <br />Counci( resumed the Council meeting, but was not able to resume the <br />video-tapin~ of the meeting. <br />DELONAI5 Kathy Delonais-Adams expressed her disappointment that she had to <br />OPTION read an article in the newspaper about the City's exercising of the <br />AGREEMENT option agreement on her father's property rather than being informed by <br />the City. Delonais-Adams was concerned that the Council had been <br />discussion this matter for two months without including her in that <br />discussion. <br />The City Administrator and the City Council assured Delonais-Adams that <br />this is the first time this matter has been discussed by the Council. The <br />Administrator noted that he copied Delonais-Adams with his letter to the <br />Council on this subject. <br />Delonais-Adams asked the next step. The Administrator replied that he <br />would wark out the details with Delonais-Adams, and pointed out that <br />there would be latitude in when the property would need to be vacated, <br />since the City has no immediate plans for it. <br />COUNTY The City Administrator reported that a nei~hborhood meeting was held <br />ROAD B-2/ on the County Road B-2 project. At that meeting, the Watershed reported <br />GERVAIS that they have determined that there is a 9-acre area draining into the <br />BEACH County Road B-2 storm sewer system, there for additional lines and catch <br />PROJECT basins are required. The Watershed will be paying approximately $57,000 <br /> ofthe storm drainage costs, the County $18,000, and the City $38,000. <br /> The County will be incurring road improvement costs as well. The <br /> Administrator reported that an easement is necessary for the drainage <br /> improvement, and the property owner has agreed to work with the City in <br /> granting this easement. <br />Morelan asked where the City's share of improvement costs would come <br />from.
