MINUTES CITY COUNCIL JANUARY 19, 1999 LaValle indicated that he was not comfortable acting on the improvement without the information on the other issues which have been raised. The City Administrator suggested that the assessment issues relative to the curb and gutter could be discussed by the Council at a workshop meeting. LaValle made a motion to continue the public hearin~ on the improvement of LaBore Road and McMenemy Street pending the receipt of an amended feasibility report from the City Engineer. The motion died for lack of a second. Pedersen su~gested that the improvement could be ordered as proposed at this time, and once the amended feasibility report is completed, the Council could review it and add other improvements as it deems appropriate. There was no one else from the general public present wishing to address the Council on this matter. Upon motion by Morelan, seconded by Pedersen, the public hearing was closed. LaValle voted against closing the public hearing. Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOI,UTION NO. 99-I-18 - ORDERING THE IMPROVEMENT OF LA730RE ROAD FROM COUNTY ROAD D TO EDGERTON STREET AND ~1.CMENEMY STREET FROM LITTLE CANADA ROAD TO VIKIN(: DRIVE BY CONCRETE CURB AND GUTTER, SHOULDER WIDENING, AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS WITH SAID WORK TO BE DONE IN CONJIINCTION WlTH COLD-IN-PLACE RECYCLING OF THE ROAD SURFACT BY RAMSEY COUNTY PUI3LIC WORKS AND ORDERINC THE CITY ENCINEER TO BEGIN PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AS WELL AS DIRECTING THE CITY ENC,INEER TO PREPARE AN ADDEh/D UM TO THE FEAS7737LITY REPORT FOR THE NORTH SECTION OF I.AI30RE ROAD WITH REGARD TO DRAINAGE CORRETIONS AS DISCDSSED THIS EVENING The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. Ayes (3) Morelan, Pedersen, Scalze. Nays (1) LaValle. Resolution denied. 21
