MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 14, 1999 <br />DETERMINED TO THE CITYADMINISTRATOR TO COVER THE <br />COST OF RESTORATION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) LaValle, Scalze, Pedersen, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />STOP SIGNS - The Public Works Director reported that he has received a request <br />COSTA LANE/ for stop signs on Costa Lane at DeSoto Street. This is currently an <br />DESOTO STR. uncontrolled intersection and there have been some near misses. It was <br />noted that there is also a lot of pedestrian activity in this area as people are <br />walking to and from Pioneer Park. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOI, UTION NO. 99-4-84 -APPROVING THE INSTAI I.ATION <br />OF STOP,47GN.S ON CO.STA LANE AT ITS INTERSECTIONS WITH <br />DESOTO AVENUE AS RECOMMENDED I3Y THE PUI3LIC WORKS <br />DIRECTOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) LaValle, Scalze, Pedersen, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />COUNCIL The Code Enforcement Officer requested the Council call for a <br />WORKSHOP workshop meeting to discuss code enforcement issues within Ryan <br />MEETING Industrial Park as well as Y2K issues. <br />Fahey suggested that prior to the workshop, the Council drive throu~h <br />Ryan Industrial Park to ~et a better understanding of propeRy conditions <br />within the Park. The Administrator reported that staff would put together <br />pictures to show examples of the problems that are bein~ encountered. <br />Scalze pointed out that the City Code has been in place since the time <br />Ryan Industrial Park was developed. Scalze indicated that site plans were <br />submitted for each of the properties. What has since changed is the use of <br />the property since the park was initially developed. Scalze indicated that <br />she was not interested in havin~ a workshop in order to discuss changes in <br />the Code. <br />Fahey indicated that he would like to know if the City's Code <br />requirements for Ryan Industrial Park are in line with what other cities are <br />requiring within their industrial areas.
