MINUT~S <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 27, 1999 <br />THE 7. 4 F~ET OF EASEMENT ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE <br />SEWER I.INE WA.S AI)EQUATE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, LaValle, Fahey, Morelan, Pedersen. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />NSP Colette Jurek, Community Services Mana~er for Northern States Power, <br />appeared before the Council to introduce herself as the City's contact <br />person at NSP. Jurek asked that the City approach her with any issues or <br />concerns it might have. <br />Morelan asked how long it would be before NSP buried overhead power <br />lines. <br />Jurek reported that after the storms of last year, the company undertook a <br />study the results of which indicate that burying lines will increase rates by <br />50%. Jurek also indicated that the study showed that when there is a <br />problem with a buried line it is difficult to accurate locate where a <br />problem is versus the ability to quickly identify problems with overhead <br />lines. <br />The Cowicil thanked Jurek for her introduction. <br />CONSENT Mr. LaValle introduced the Following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />AGENDA <br />RE.SOI.
