Resolution declared adopted. <br />GORDIES The City Planner reported that Gordies would like to relocate their boot <br />CUP FOR hockey court further north on their property. The issue is whether or not <br />OUTDOOR such action would require a formal amendment to Gordies' Conditional <br />RECREATION Use Permit for outdoor recreation. <br />LaValle pointed out that at times it is permissible to handle such <br />amendments administratively, and asked why the full process would be <br />required with this change. LaValle pointed out that moving the boot <br />hockey court to the north will lessen the impact of the court on the <br />adjacent condominiums. <br />Mike Strub, resident at Fluer Royal, indicated that there is some confiasion <br />about what Gordies is proposing to do and asked for a clarification. Strub <br />also mentioned that some trees were recently removed from the Gordies' <br />property. <br />Dick Cossack reported that he would like to relocate the boot hockey court <br />north of the existin~ volleyball court and closer to his east property line. <br />Cossack indicated that the court will not be any closer to the <br />condominiums. Cossack pointed out that the boot hockey league only <br />runs for six weeks. Cossack reported that he has been paying taxes on this <br />property for 22 years, and he would like to make use of it. <br />LaValle pointed out that two trees were removed as well as some scrub <br />brush. <br />Strub asked if there would be any landscaping installed. <br />Cossack replied that he would seed the area. <br />Bob Kenny, resident at Fluer Royal, reported that the owners of Gordies <br />have been very helpful to the residents of Fluer Royal. Kenny felt there <br />was an element that would protest anything and stated that he wished these <br />people would take into consideration how helpful Gordies' management <br />has been to them. Kenny stated that he had no objection to the boot <br />hockey court bein~ moved, and su~~ested that 80% of the property owners <br />at Fluer Royal would not protest.
