MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 11, 1999 <br />SUI3JECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS <br />OF THE PU73LIC WORKS DIRECTOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Morelan, Scalze, LaValle, Pedersen, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CTV/CABLE TV The City Administrator presented a draft agreement whereby CTV and the <br />PRODUCER City would share an employee. That employee would work approximately <br />POSITION 25 hours per week for CTV and 15 hours per week as the City's Cable TV <br />Producer. Resolution declared adopted. <br />RICE STREET/ The City Administrator reported that he had a meeting with the developers <br />LITTLE CANADA involved in the Christenson group and they are encoura~ed with the <br />ROAD progress they are making in their redevelopment plans for the south side <br />REDEVELOP- ofRice Street/Little Canada Road. However, it may be a month before <br />1VIENT these plans are far enough alon~ to present a proposal to the Council. The <br /> Administrator reported that there is a theater component in the project. <br /> That theater is proposed to be 12 screens. <br />The Administrator indicated that Sherman Rutzick is interested in <br />pursuin~ a senior housing/off"ice/retail proposal for the same site. <br />However, at this point the financial details do not work The project either <br />requires more valuation or less assistance. Additional meetings with Mr. <br />Rutzick are anticipated. <br />Fahey felt that at this point the City should concentrate its efforts on the <br />north side of Rice Street/Little Canada Road as well as the Rice Street <br />property near County Road C and property along Country Drive.
