He also indicated that the <br />screenin~; of outdoor storage areas has not been an issue from a law <br />enforcement standpoint. <br />Fahey asked if there were higher instances of crime when outdoor storage <br />areas are fenced. <br />Shanley replied that the instances may be slightly hi~her, but this has not <br />been a big problem. Shanley reported that there are other things that <br />property owners can do to deter crime, such as install lighting and alarm <br />systems. The Sheriff's DepartmenYs Crime Prevention Off"icer would be <br />willing to work with property owners on these issues. <br />PRELIMINARY The Mayor opened the public hearing to consider the Preliminary Plat as <br />PLAT & PUD well as a PUD Permit to allow the construction of an office building in a <br />PERMIT - PUD District as rec~uested by Mr. Dick Bia~ini. It was noted that the <br />COUNTRY Planning Commission has recommended approval. <br />SIDE TERRACE <br />OTFICE PARK The City Administrator reported that he anticipates that the Development <br />Agreement between the City and Mr. Biagini will be ready for Council <br />consideration at their July 14°i meeting. The Administrator noted that in <br />previous discussions about this development, the issue of a stop light at <br />Rice Street and South Owasso Blvd. was discussed. The Administrator <br />noted the correspondence received from the State indicating that they are <br />turnin~ back Rice Street to the County alon~ with an allocation of funding <br />for a stopli~ht. It appe~rs that the stoplight will be installed within the <br />next 12 months. There may need to be cost participation on the part of the <br />Cities of Little Canada and Roseville in this project. <br />Another issue previously discussed was that of a right-turn lane on <br />Country Drive at Rice Street. The Public Works Director has put to~;ether <br />a preliminary report and is asking for Council authorization to proceed <br />with this project. <br />Morelan asl<ed about funding sources. The Administrator replied that <br />either TIF or State Aid Funds could be used.
