MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 22, 1999 <br />DEBT LEVY Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />REDUCTION <br />COMMITTEE RESOI. UT70N NO. 99-6-162 - CAI.I,ING FOR A PU137.IC HEARING <br />REPORT ON WEDNESDAY, AUGUST Il, 1999, AT 7:30 P.M. TO CONSIDER <br />THE DE73T LEVYREDUCTION COMMITTEE REPORT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) Morelan, Scalze, Fahey, Pedersen. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />GOODYEAR Mr. Jack Lowry, R. J. Marco Construction, repoRed that they have <br />TIRE a draft of the development agreement with the City for the Goodyear <br />PROPOSAL Tire proposal, and it is their intent to go forward with the project. <br />The Administrator noted that the City is proposing TIF assistance for this <br />project to assist with land acquisition costs. However, the developers will <br />still be responsible for the base cost. The developers net cost of property <br />acquisition will be over $5.00 per square foot which is at or above the <br />market cost. <br />Morelan asked the status of the moratorium on the property. The <br />AdministraYor recommended that tlie moratorium continue until the <br />development agreement is implemented. Fahey suggested that the <br />expiration date of the moratorium be checked, and if necessary, the <br />Council could extend it at its next meeting. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />REb'OI, U7lON N0. 99-6-163 - DECI ARINC THAT THE <br />MORATORIUM ON TFIE RICE STREET/COUNTY ROAD C <br />PROPERTY WlI,I.
