MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
JUNE 22, 1999
Fahey noted that the road or cul-de-sac could be offset to provide adequate
setback from the house at 3244 Twin Lake Road. Fahey indicated that the
consensus of the Council is in support of the road improvement, and
sug~ested that Mr. Oberhamer work with City staff to come up with a
proposal which provides for that road as well as the possibility of an
undersized cul-de-sac.
BRYCE Mayor Fahey acknowledge that Bryce Sherren is present this evening.
SHERREN Bryce is workin~ on a Boy Scout Merit Badge for community service.
TWIN LAKE Mayor Fahey opened the continuation ofPublic Hearin~; to consider the
PINES - applicaCion for a Preliminary Plat for the Twin Lake Pines Addition as
PR~LIMINARY well as a Variance for cul-de-sac len~th. The Administrator also suggested that any
remaining issues, including utilities and Joint Powers Agreement, can be
worked out between now and the time the final plat is presented.
There was no one from the general public present wishing to comment on
this matter.
Upon motion by Morelan, seconded by LaValle, the public hearing was
closed.
Morelan asked the status of the water study. Chuck Plowe, engineer for
Pratt Homes, reported that testing has been done on the water system in
the John Mitchell Preserve, and the results of those tests were satisfactory.
Therefore, it will be possible to extend this water system to the Twin Lake
Pines Addition, and the system can function adequately until such time as
the water main system is looped through the entire area. Therefore, there
will be no need for a temporary well system to service the plat.
Mr. LaValle introduced the fol(owing resolution and moved its adoption:
