Resolution declared adopted.
LaValle questioned the fact that handicapped parking spaces are not
shown on the site plans being submitted. The City Administrator reported
that this issue has been discussed with the Building Off"icial. All
properties must comply with handicapped parkin~ regulations. The
Building Official suggested that because the drawings are not to scale, the
location of handicapped parking did not need to be shown on the site
plans. The Building Official did not feel it was appropriate to desi~n this
space for property owners. However, compliance was mandatory. It was
noted that the Zoning Administrator also addresses this requirement in her
repoirts.
Morelan noted that the City has a requirement that all parking areas are
curbed, and this curbing is not being delineated on the site plans. Morelan
stated that he wanted to be sure the applicants understand this requirement.
Again, it was noted that this issue is addressed in the Zoning
Administrator's report.
The Council reviewed the architectural components ofthe Taco John's
si~nage request noting that the Planning Commission has recommended
approval.
Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
REb"OI,UTION NO. 99-7-172 - APPROVING THE ARCHITECTURA7.
REVIEW FOR S7GNAGE AS RE~ UE.STED 73Y TACO JOFIN'S AT
3338 RICE SREET CON77NGENT UPON COMPI,lANCE WITH THE
RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY PLANNER AS ODTI INED IN
HI.S' REPORT DATED JDI,Y 2, I999
The foregoin~ resolution was duly seconded by Scalze.
