MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
AUGUST 25, 1999
Stanke again mentioned the sprinkler improvements he needed to make to
his building in 1989 which cost over $40,000. He also noted that he
recently put new siding, soffits and a roof on the building.
Morelan asked ifthe boundary line fence was necessary. Stanke rep(ied
that the City did not require it, but that it was needed to secure equipment
that is stored outdoors. Landscaping will be used as a screening material.
There was no one else present from the general public wishing to
comment on this matter.
Upon motion by Fahey, seconded by Morelan, the public hearing was
closed.
Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOI.UTION NO. 99-8-224 - DENYING A VARIANCE FROM THE
FORTY FOOT REQ UIRED FRONT YARD SET73ACK TO A
TWENTY-EIGHT FOOT FRONT YARD SET73ACK TO
ACCOMMODATE OUTDOOR STORAGE AS RECOMMENDED BY
THE PI,ANNINC COMMISSION SINCE THERE IS NO HARDSHIP
PRESENT TO JUSTIFY CRANTING THE VARIANCE
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze.
Ayes (5) Morelan, Scalze, Fahey, Pedersen, LaValle.
Nays (0). The Zoning
Administrator also noted that the City has imposed a deadline of
December 31s` for property owners to make site improvements in Ryan
Industrial Park. She noted that the building proposed by Mr. Stanke
would not be completed by that time. Therefore, the parking layout for
the site will be somewhat different. However, without the building as
proposed, the parking requirements are being met. Fahey noted that the
City wi~l consider this the site plan for 209 Ryan Drive without the
building addition as referenced on the plan.
Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTTON NO. 99-8-225 -APPROVING THE CONDITIONAI,
USE PERMIT FOR OPENAND OUTDOOR STORAGE OF
EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS AS AN ACCE.SSORY U.SE FOR 209
RYAN I)RIVE SU73JECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE
20
