MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AUGUST 25, 1999 <br />RECOIVIMENDATIONS OF THE ZONING ADMINI.STRATOR AND <br />THE PI.ANNING COMMISSIONALLOWING FOR LANDSCAPING <br />AND PAVING IMPROVEMENTS TO 73E COMPLETED BY <br />DECEMI3ER 31, 1999 AND AI.LOWING FOR THE REMOVAL OF <br />OUTDOORSTORAGEOFSEMI-TRUCKS73YAPRIL 1, 2000 <br />The fore~oing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) Morelan, Fahey, Scalze, Pedersen, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Scalze noted that the proposed building addition as shown on Stanke's site <br />plan appears to encroach in the railroad right-of-way. Stanke indicated <br />that should he not be able to purchase property from the railroad, he would <br />move the building addition to line up with the setback of his existing <br />building, which is approximately 5.6 feet from the property line. <br />However, a variance would be required for that setback. <br />ESTABLISHING Mayor Fahey opened the public hearing to consider the establishment <br />B-4 ZONING of a B-4 .Zoning District (Comprehensive Business District). It was <br />DISTRICT noted that this district would accommodate any of the allowable <br />commercial districts in the City. <br />There was no one from the general public present wishing to comment on <br />this mafter. <br />Upon motion by Morelan, seconded by Fahey, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following ordinance and moved its adoption: <br />ORDINANCE NO. 492 - AMENDING SECTIONS 904 AND 912 OF <br />THE I.ITTI,E CANADA CITY CODE, KNOWN AS THE ZONING <br />ORDINANCE, 73Y PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF <br />THE ]3-4, COMPREHENSIVE 13USINESS ZONING D7.4TRICT <br />The foregoin~ ordinance was duly seconded by Morelan. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Morelan, Fahey, Scalze, Pedersen. <br />Nays (0).
