MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 8, 1999 <br />Ayes (4) Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen, Fahey. <br />Nays (1) LaValle. Resolution declared adopted. <br />Fahey asked if the moratorium should be lifted on the property. The City <br />Administrator recommended that the moratorium stay in place until the <br />closing on the purchase occurs. <br />AMEND TIF The City Administrator reported the need to consider modifications to <br />DISTRICT 3-2 Development District 3 as well as TIF District 3-2 in order to <br />accommodate the Goodyear Tire Store project. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following reso(ution and moved its adoption: <br />RE.SOI. UTION NO. 99-9-292 - CAI.I.ING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING <br />FOR WEDNESDAY, OCT073ER 27, 1999 73Y THE CITY ON THE <br />PROPOSED ADOPTION OF THE MODIFICATIONS TO THE TAX <br />INCREMENT FINANCING PI,AN FOR TAX INCREMENT <br />FINANCING PLAN DISTRICT NO. 3-2 AND TO THE <br />DEVE7 OPMENT PROGR,9M FOR DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT NO. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, LaValle, Morelan, Fahey, Pedersen. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />2000 BUDGET The City Administrator presented the preliminary 2000 Budget to the <br />Council and indicated that the budget reflects the recommendations of the <br />Debt Levy Reduction Committee. The Budget proposes a tax levy of <br />$1,404,209.00 that provides for a net levy decrease to taxpayers of just <br />under 10%. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIONNO. 99-9-243 -APPROVING THE PREI.IMINARY <br />2000 TAX 7 EVY OF Sl, 904,209 AS PRESENTED 13Y CITY STAFF <br />AND AS RECOMMENDED 13Y THE DEI3T I.EVY RED UCTION <br />COMMITTEE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Morelan, Pedersen, Fahey. <br />Nays (0).
