MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 8, 1999 <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the followin~ resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 99-9-244 - CAI.LING THE CITY'S TRUTH IN <br />TAXATION HEARING FOR THURSDAY, DECEMI3ER 2, 1999 AT <br />7:00 P.M. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Morelan, Pedersen, Fahey, LaVaile. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOl. Resolution declared adopted. <br />COUNTRY The City Administrator reported that the owner of the Franklin Drywall <br />DRIVE - property on Country Drive would like to sell his property. This property <br />FRANKLIN is a part of a proposed redevelopment area along Country Drive. <br />DRYWALL However, the major property owner in the area, Don Gagne, has indicated <br />PROPERTY his unwillingness to sell at the price offered to him by the City. <br />Morelan pointed out that the Franklin Drywall property does the City no <br />good unless the Gagne property can be acquired. The City Administrator <br />sug~ested that to not purchase the Franklin Drywall property at this time <br />would present additional concerns in the future. If the property is sold and <br />the City then purchases it in the future, the City would have to relocate the <br />11 <br />
