MINUTES CITY COUNCIL OCTOBER 13,1999 ~ADOPTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 494 AMENDING THE PUBLIC (P) ZONING DISTRICT RELATIVE TO OUTDOOR STORAGE OF MATERIALS *APPROVING A TEMPORARY ON-SALE LIQUOR LICENSE FOR LITTLE CANADA RECREATION ASSOCIATION'S HALLOWEEN DANCE TO BE HELD AT ST. JOHN'S GYMNASIUM ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 30, I999 *APPROVING THE 2000 SCORE RECYCLING GRANT APPLICATION AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF THAT GRAND AGREEMENT *APPROVING THE CLOSING OF FUND 430 AND TRANSFER OF BALANCES TO THE GENERAL CAPITEIL IMPROVEMENT FUND AS RECOMMENDED BY CITY STAFF *APPROVING THE VOUCHERS The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (5) Scalze, LaValle, Morelan, Pedersen, Fahey. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. CUP FOR Mayor Fahey opened the continuation of the public hearing to consider OUTDOOR the Conditional Use Permit for open and outdoor storage of materials STORAGE - as an accessory use at the City Garage located at 3100 Country Drive. CITY GARAGE The Planning Commission had recommended approval of the CUP. There was no one from the public present wishing to comment on this matter. Upon motion by Fahey, seconded by LaValle, the public hearing was closed. The Public Works Director described the City Garage property on Country Drive pointing out the fact that the property is very long and narrow. The Director reported that he is proposed two storage yards on the side yards of the pro~erty. The Director pointed out that the City's ordinance requires that outdoor storage be screened. He is proposing to fence in the storage areas and screen with landscaping. However, it will not be possible to landscape in such a way as screen the gate area without interfering with its operation.
