MINUTES CITY COUNCIL AUGUST 26, 2009 HOM The City Administrator reported that Hom Furniture has decided to FURNITURE retain their property on Country Drive and to redevelop the site into INTERIM a Ilom Furniture store/multi-use site when the economy improves. In the SIGN meantime, Hom is requesting to renew their Interim Signage Plan for an PLAN additional year so that they can hold periodic sales events at this location. Keis asked if the temporary Signage would identify Hom Furniture. The City Administrator reviewed the proposed temporary signage diagrams noting that the Hom Furniture name is not shown. The Administrator also pointed out that the signage will be put up and removed throughout the year as sales events occur. Mr. Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOL UTION NO. 2009-8-202 -EXTENDING THE HOM FURNITURE INTERIM SIGNAGE PLANAS OUTLINED BY THE CITYADMINISTRATOR INHIS REPORT DATED AUGUST 20, 2009 THROUGH SEPTEMBER I5, 2010 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. NOVEMBER The City Clerk recommended changes to the City Council's November COUNCIL meeting schedule given the first meeting falls on Veterans' Day and the MEETING second is the evening before Thanksgiving Day. SCHEDULE Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2009-8-203 -CHANGING THE NOVEMBER COUNCIL MEETING SCHEDULE, CANCELLING THE NOVEMBER Il AND 25, 2009 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETINGS AND RESCHEDULING THOSE MEETINGS TO MONDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 2009 AND MONDAY, NOVEMBER 23, 2009 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
