<br /> MINUTES <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> OCTOBER 14, 2009 <br /> Waite and Johnson requested that the Council table action on this matter <br /> for one year and obtain information from the DNR as to the deer <br /> population. 'The Administrator noted that Mr. Moriarty is not a member of <br /> the MBRB, and is the County expert in this matter. <br /> Keis again indicated his position to proceed with the hunt not and then <br /> evaluate the results. Boss reported that about 5 to 7 years ago she would <br /> see one deer in her neighborhood. Now there are about a dozen. Boss <br /> agreed the hunt should proceed and them be evaluated. Blesener indicated <br /> that there were too many deer in the City, and indicated his support for the <br /> hunt. <br /> Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2009-10-235 -APPROVING THE CONTRACT <br /> WITH METRO BOWHUNTERS RESOURCE BASE TO CONDUCT A <br /> DEER HUNT IN THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA AS SPECIFIED <br /> IN THE CONTRACT WITH THE STIPULATION TO BE ADDED <br /> THAT A MAXIMUM OF 12 ANTLERLESS DEER CAN BE TAKEN <br /> AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITYADMINISTRATOR <br /> TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McCraw. <br /> Ayes (5). <br /> Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br /> Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2009-10-236 -AUTHORIZING RAMSEY <br /> COUNTY TO INCL UDE LITTLE CANADA IN THEIR NEXT <br /> ANNUAL DEER POPULATION COUNT <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. <br /> Ayes (5). <br /> Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br /> The Council discussed whether or not to include an Arcade/LaI3ore Road <br /> site in the hunt. Given the small size of this site, it was the consensus of <br /> the Council not to include this site. <br /> CANABURY The City Administrator reported that given the size of the Cauabury <br /> SQUARE Square Housing Improvement Area and the bond issue involved, it is <br /> DEVELOPMENT his recommendation that both a Development Agreement and a <br /> AGREEMENT Disbursement Agreement be entered into with Canabury Square. These <br /> agreements will govern the on-going relationship between the City acid <br /> 11 <br /> <br />
