Resolution declared adopted. <br /> Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2009-11-280 -AMENDING THE PUD PERMIT <br /> FOR COMPREHENSIVE SIGN PLANAS REQUESTED BY JIM <br /> SCHWALBACH, HARDWARE HANK, 2920 RICE STREET <br /> SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> OF THE CITY PLANNER AS OUTLINED IN HIS REPORT DATED <br /> NOVEMBER 9, 2009 <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br /> Ayes (5). <br /> Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br /> REQUEST FOK The City Administrator reported that in December of 2008, the City <br /> EXTENSION Council granted R & S Automotive 18 months to bring their property into <br /> FOR MEETING compliance with City Code relative to the outdoor storage on their site. <br /> CODE Since that time, R & S has been trying to obtain outdoor storage renters <br /> COMPLIANCE - who can comply with Code requirements. However, due to the current <br /> 38 WOODLYN economic conditions, they have not been able to obtain new tenants. As a <br /> AVENUE - result, R & S is requesting a minimum of a two year extension from the <br /> R & S AUTO- date of the 18 month extension (June of 2010). R & S has indicated that <br /> MOTIVE this would provide them more time to find new tenants as well as to allow <br /> existing lease agreements to run out. The Administrator also noted that <br /> given the construction nature of these businesses, it would be problematic <br /> for these businesses to have to relocate during mid-summer months. <br /> Keis suggested that any extension provided run through The end of the <br /> year, rather than mid-summer given the impact on construction-related <br /> businesses of a summer move. Blesener pointed out that any new tenants <br /> on this site would have to be Code-compliant. He also indicated that he <br /> did not oppose an extension given the current economic conditions. <br /> McGraw agreed with Keis' comments for ayear-end deadline, and <br /> suggested December 31, 2012. He agreed that economic conditions are <br /> tough right now, and the additional time will give R & S more opportunity <br /> to identify compliance tenants. <br /> Mr. McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> 6 <br /> <br />
