The <br /> bids for the mill and overlay projects are about 8% below the F,ngineer's <br /> estimate. 'the City Administrator reported that oil prices are higher than <br /> in 2009, but that the competitive bidding market is still very aggressive. <br /> The City Administrator reported that based ou the bids received, City staff <br /> is recommending a continuation of the assessment policy modification <br /> made for 2009 Improvements setting the maximum assessable footage for <br /> asingle-family lot at 100 feet (125 feet under the Assessment Policy). <br /> This will result in additional cost of $24,200 to the City, but also shares <br /> the project savings realized by the competitive bids received. <br /> The Administrator also reported that the potential assessment for Parkview <br /> Cour•c Townhome Association was reviewed, and staff is recommending <br /> that the Jackson Street assessment for the Association be based ou the <br /> equivalent of 75 feet of frontage for each twnhome along Jackson. This <br /> results in about a $10,000 reduction in the Parkview Court Townhome <br /> Association assessment. <br /> The City Administrator reported that City staff will hold neighborhood <br /> meetings on April 5Th with the property owners involved in the 2010 <br /> Improvement projects to review bids and preliminary assessrneut rolls. A <br /> report will be brought back to the Council at its April 14`x' meeting, and <br /> bids will be presented for Council action at that time. <br /> It was the consensus of the Council that the City Administrator should <br /> move forward with the assessment modification as discussed this evening <br /> for the 2010 Improvement projects. <br /> NORTHEAST The City Administrator reviewed the City l;ngineer's feasibility report for <br /> UTILITIES - the Northeast Utility Extension Project, which involves the extension of <br /> CALL FOR sanitary sewer from Kohlman Lane to Gervais Woods. The Administrator <br /> IMPROVEMENT reported that this sanitary sewer extension involves the Battista and the <br /> HEARING Himmelbach properties. The City Administrator recommended that the <br /> Council call for au improvement hearing to consider this project. <br /> Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOL UTION NO. 2010-3-65 -ACCEPTING THE FEASIBILITY <br /> REPORT AND CALLING FOR AN IMPROVEMENT HEARING ON <br /> THE NORTHEAST UTILITY EXTENSION IMPROVEMENT FOR <br /> MONDAY, APRIL 12, 2010, AT 6:00 P.M. <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. <br /> Ayes (4). <br /> 16 <br /> <br />
