Signage
Anew two sided monument sign approximately 6 feet in height and io feet in length is planned atthe site's new service
entrance on County Road B. The monument sign will be similar in scale to the existing entrance signs on the Woodridge
Campus. One additional building sign is proposed to be located on the south facade of the ramp, facing County Road
B. The ramp mounted sign is proposed to be similar to the existing building sign that is currently mounted above the
employee entrance. The ramp sign is proposed to be approximately 3' high and iz' wide. Directional, parking, safety
and traffic Signage will be provided as necessary throughout the site. Existing Signage photos are provided on pages
i3 & i4.
Landscaping
The landscape design wil! incorporate environmentally responsive site design strategies by selecting climatically and
regionally appropriate plants that minimize maintenance, reduce pest management and irrigation requirements, and
enhance regional identity.
The south and western edges of the site will be landscaped with trees and ground coverthat extend the existing natural
woods concept onto the site. The south portion of the site is intended to be a prairie grass environmentwith conifer and
deciduous trees along the south property line to provide year round screening of the site from the adjacent residential
properties to the south. Per the current zoning ordinance, 3o caliper inches of tree planting will be provided for each
acre of disturbed land.
Stormwater Management
The total government unit For Stormwater is the Ramsey Washington Metro Watershed District (RWMWD). The RWMWD
requires that the site provide water quality, runoff rate control and best management practices for sediment and erosion
control. The City of Little Canada shares these same standards.
The existing building and surface parking lots drain through a storm sewer system to the utilized wetland. In zoo9 an
infiltration basin was constructed to the west of the utilized wetland. The existing site has i.9 acres of impervious area
within the limits of construction of the proposed project.
The removal of the existing surface lot and construction of the parking ramp will disturb approximately z.8 acres, and
will increase the total amount of impervious area on the site. All disturbed impervious area will need to be captured for
water quality and rate control. The site improvements will result in z.z acres of total disturbed impervious area. The

~ increase in impervious area will be managed by an expansion to the infiltration basin thatwas recently constructed. All
new site drainage will be directed into routed to the expanded infiltration basin to provide the required waterquality and
also store runoff for rate control. The proposed Stormwater management system will reduce the peak rate and volume
for the z, io, and ioo~year storm events from the existing conditions.
PUO Amendment Application For 5[ Jude Medical Woodridge Campus Parking Expansion 8
