MINUTES CITY COUNCIL JULY 28, 2010 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. MAYOR'S The Council congratulated Mayor Blesener on reaching a milestone BIRTHDAY birthday. I-Iappy Birthday, Mayor! NITS TO Keis announced that Nite To Unite will be held on Tuesday, August 3, UNITE 2010 and encouraged neighborhoods to come out and celebrate. Blesener noted that those neighborhoods with celebrations should inform the Sheriff s Department and City Hall so that neighborhood visits can be made by the Sheriff s Department, Fire Department, and elected officials. INTERIM The City Planner noted the Council's amendment to the ordinance related USE to interim use permits which occurred at the 7uly 14°i Council meeting. ORDINANCE The Planner asked for clarification of the expedited process for compliant properties, noting that procedurally a public hearing would be required to be held, but the requirement for Planning Commission review could be lifted. The Council was in agreement with that change, noting that their goal in expediting the process for compliant properties is to lessen tihe financial burden for the property owner. VALOR Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: ENTERPRISES- CLOSED RESOLUTION N0.2010-7-178-TEMPORARILYADJOURNING SESSION THE REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING AND CONVENING INTO CLOSED SESSIONAS RECOMMENDED BY THE LEAGUE OF MINNESOTA CITIES INSURANCE TRUST ATTORNEY TO DISCUSS THE VALOR ENTERPRISES LITIGATION/SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss.
