MINUTES CITY COUNCIL JULY 28, 2010 Blesener asked about the proposed building expansions. Johnson reported that he did expand office space in the building, and noted that the two additions that have not been completed would expand warehouse space. ,Tohuson also indicated that he has complied with the recommendations relative to the PUD Permit for the building expansions. The City Planner stated that that may be correct, he has not verified this. He suggested, however, that any extension of the PUD Permit for the expansions reference the initial conditions that were imposed. Johnson stated that given the difficult economic times, allowing him to rent outdoor storage space as proposed would help his business to survive. Bob Wagner, 3225 Country Drive, stated that he supported Mr. Johnson's request and noted that he has been a good neighbor. There was no one else present from the general public present wishing to speak on this matter. Upon motion by McGiaw, seconded by Boss, the public hearing was closed. Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTIONN0.2010-7--174 -APPROVINGAPUDPERMIT ALLOWING OUTDOOR STORAGE AS AN INTERIM USE UNTIL AUGUST 1, 2014 AS REQUESTED BY MR. CARL JOHNSON, DRYWALL SUPPLY, 3213 COUNTRYDRIVE GIVEN THE OUTDOOR STORAGE BEING REQUESTED IS AN EXTENSION OF HIS EXISTING BUSINESS SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY PLANNER AND THE PLANNING COMMISSIONAS FOLLOWS: *COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY PLANNER AS OUTLINED IN HIS JULY 19, 2010 REPORT; *THAT THE OUTDOOR STORAGE AREA IS COMPLETELY SCREENED FROM VIEW OF SURROUNDING PROPERTIES; *THAT THE OUTDOOR STORAGE IS ALLOWED AT A MAXIMUM HEIGHT OF 9.5 FEET; *THAT THE OUTDOOR STORAGE MATERIALS ARE NEATLY STACKED AND CONSIST OF L UMBER ITEMS; 8
