MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 22, 2025 <br />assessment. The City Engineer replied that schools are not exempt from assessments. <br />Malone asked for more information on the statement that the sidewalk costs would not be assessed. <br />The City Engineer explained that street costs are assessed, while other costs, such as the sidewalk, are <br />not assessed. <br />Malone referenced the anticipated timing of the project and asked if the Little Canada project would <br />occur at the same time. The City Engineer provided additional details on the phasing of the Little <br />Canada Road project, along with the timing of the Country Drive project. <br />Acting Mayor Miller asked and received confirmation that the sidewalk would be ADA-compliant and <br />run across driveways. <br />Gutierrez stated that she lives close to this area and noted that people often walk from nearby <br />neighborhoods to access public transit. She stated that the shoulder is very narrow and sometimes <br />blocked by snow, and therefore, she is excited about the potential of the sidewalk for those residents. <br />Miller introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2025-10-166 — RECEIVING THE FEASIBILITY REPOR T AND <br />CALLING FOR AN IMPR O VEMENT HEARING FOR CO UNTR Y DRIVE (CITY <br />_PROJECT NO. 2026 PW40) <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Gutierrez. <br />Ayes (4). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />PURCHASE BUILDING GENERATOR FOR LITTLE CANADA FIRE STATION <br />The Assistant City Administrator stated that staff is asking the City Council to accept and approve the <br />low quote for the purchase and installation of a building generator at the fire station. She noted that the <br />current unit was installed in 1991 and is undersized for the needs. She noted that two bids were <br />received and reviewed by the Fire Chief and Public Works staff, and recommended acceptance of the <br />low quote. The purchase will be funded through the fire equipment fund. <br />Kwapick introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2025-10-167 — APPROVING AND ACCEPTING THE LOW QUOTE <br />OF $45,675 FROMALLIED GENERATORS FOR THE PURCHASE AND <br />INSTALLATION OF A B UILDING GENERATOR AT THE FIRE STATION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Malone. <br />Ayes (4). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />3R_QUARTER 2025 STRATEGIC PLAN PROGRESS UPDATE <br />The City Administrator presented a status update on the Strategic Plan, noting that staff plans to <br />provide quarterly updates moving forward. He provided background information on the Strategic <br />Plan, strategic directions, and the tracking and reporting tool available on the city website. <br />3 <br />
