Resolution declared adopted.
AMEND Mayor Blesener opened the Public Hearing to consider the request for
ZONING CODE Amendment to the Zoning Code as well as Interim Use Permit for outdoor
&e IUP PERMIT - storage for off-site non-resident tenants for up to a five year term for
38 WEST R & S Automotive located at 38 West Woodlymi Avenue. It was noted
WOODLYNN - that the Planning Commission recommended denial of the Zoning Code
R & S Amendment, but recommended approval of the Interim IJsc Permit.
AUTOMOTIVE
The City Planner indicated that there are two parts to this application. The
first relates to the applicant's request for an Interim Use Permit for off-site
storage on their property that addresses code enforcement issues given
there is unapproved outdoor storage on the site. This unapproved outdoor
storage is for businesses that do not have a principal location in Little
Canada. As a result, a Zoning Code Amendment has been requested that
would broaden the IUP Permit to allow off-site outdoor storage by non-
local businesses.
The Planner noted that at the Planning Commission there was some
confusion about whether or not the property owner was requesting the
Zoning Code Amendment. However, following that meeting there was
discussion with the property owner and they are asking that the Code be
amended to eliminate the restriction that off-site outdoor storage is
allowed for only Little Canada businesses with their principal location in
the I-1 District.
The second part of the application is for the issuance of an Interim Use
Permit for outdoor storage for anon-resident tenant for up to a f ve year
3
