<br /> MINUTES <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> OCTOBER 13, 2010 <br /> COUNSEL Administrator reported that it has been five years since an RFP was done <br /> for engineering services, and longer since once was done for planning and <br /> bond counsel. With regard to planning services, the Administrator <br /> recommended that a workshop be held with the Planning Commission to <br /> obtain their input on the scope of services to be included in the RFP. <br /> Keis asked about an RFP for the City's financial advisor. "the <br /> Adminish~ator reported that the current financial advisor was hired under <br /> an RFP, and the City could include that consulting position in the RFP if it <br /> chooses to do so. <br /> 'The Administrator reported that the goal in proceeding with the RFP <br /> process is to not necessarily find new consultants, but to ensure that the <br /> City is paying competitive rates for the services provided. The <br /> Administrator stated that he would like to proceed with the RFP before the <br /> end of the year, but that it was not necessary to have the process finalized <br /> by January ls`. If a consultant is changed, there may be some notice <br /> requirements, however. <br /> The Administrator indicated that the Planning Commission would be <br /> contacted to determine their availability for a workshop meeting. <br /> Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2010-10-238 - A UTHORIZING REQUESTS FOR <br /> PROPOSALS FOR PLANNING, ENGINEERING, AND BOND <br /> COUNSEL SERVICESAS RECOMMENDED UNDER THE CITY'S <br /> FINANCIAL POLICY <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br /> Ayes (5). <br /> Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br /> ORDER The City Administrator reported that the nuisance violations at 29 and <br /> ABATEMENTS- 29 '/2 Demont Avenue as well as 3046 LaBore Road continue to exist. <br /> 29 & 29 The property owners have been given the appropriate notices, have <br /> DEMONT AND failed to make the needed corrections, and Staff is recommending that <br /> 3046 LABORE the nuisances be abated. <br /> ROAD <br /> The Council asked about pending amendments to the Nuisance Ordinance <br /> that would expedite the process. "fhe City Administrator reported that <br /> staff will be presenting a proposed amendment in the near future. <br /> Mr. McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> 6 <br /> <br />
