<br /> MINUTES <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> OCTOBE1213, 2010 <br /> RESOL UTION NO. 2010-10-239 -ORDERING THE ABATEMENT <br /> OF NUISANCE VIOLATIONSAT 29AND 29 % DEMONTAVENUE <br /> AND AT 3046 LAHORE ROAD AS RECOMMENDED BY CITY <br /> STAFF <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br /> Ayes (5). <br /> Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br /> COMMISSION The City Administrator reported that Mike Everson has resigned from the <br /> VACANCIES Planning Commission as he has moved out of the City. The Administrator <br /> & EVERSON noted that while State Statute does not require a commission member be a <br /> RESIGNATION resident of the City, the Municipal Code does. The Administrator reported <br /> FROM that Everson has two years left on his term. He also noted that City staff is <br /> PLANNING recommending that the vacancy caused by the Everson resignation and the <br /> COMMISSION upcoming 2011 vacancies be advertised at one time. <br /> "I'he Council and City Administrator acknowledged the fine job that Mr. <br /> Everson did on the Planning Commission and thanked him for his service. <br /> Ms. Boss introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOL UTION NO. 2010-IO-240 -AUTHORIZING THE <br /> ADVERTISEMENT OF PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> AND PLANNING COMMISSION VACANCIES AS RECOMMENDED <br /> BY CITY STAFF <br /> The foregoiug resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br /> Ayes (5). <br /> Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br /> RETROFIT The City Administrator reported that three quotes have been received to <br /> FIRE retrofit the fire station with energy efficient lighting. The low quote was <br /> STATION from Parsons Electric in the amount of $17,638. The City would obtain <br /> WITH ENERGY a rebate from Xcel Energy for the project in the amount of $6,370, <br /> EFFICIENT therefore, the net cost would be $11,268. 'T'here is an anticipated five-year <br /> LIGHTIN(Y payback from energy savings. The Administrator also noted that $14,500 <br /> has been budgeted from this work. <br /> Keis asked who pays the fire station utility bills. The Administrator <br /> reported that they are paid by the Fire Department, but are a line item in <br /> the Fire Department's budget with the City. <br /> 7 <br /> <br />
