As in previous years the Watershed's current enacted stormwater treatment
regulations require infiltration of the first inch of storm water runoff from
impervious surfaces. Previous street projects the City completed utilized
rainwater gardens to achieve this infiltration standard therefore, in a continued
effort to effectively treat storm water, rainwater gardens will once again be
considered for treatment of storm water runoff along this roadway. Options will
be reviewed for reducing the amount of pavement at the large first cul -de -sac
B. ASPEN CIRCLE
Aspen Circle is proposed to be milled two inches deep and overlaid with a new
bituminous surface. The paving will occur in such a manner to ensure the proper
crown of the roadbed is restored. It is anticipated that sections of curb and gutter
will need to be replaced due to damage or poor drainage characteristics. Due to
the. severity of the surmountable curb grade we are also proposing to have the
curb and gutter removed at all driveways. The driveway curb will be repoured to
provide a more smooth driveway access. This work will require that the resident
replace at least a portion of their driveway. As was done on Ontario Road last
year, the driveway work would be completed outside the City contract and the
cost would be the responsibility of the property owner. If a property owner would
choose to not have their driveway approach altered, they would receive a credit
for any curb not replaced in front of their driveway. Only minor structure
rehabilitation and repair anticipated on the sanitary and storm sewer.
C. ONTARIO ROAD
Ontario Road is proposed to be full depth milled and overlaid with a new
bituminous surface. It is proposed to mill the entire bituminous section and
repave two lifts of blacktop. The existing gravel roadbed will be shaped to
ensure proper drainage to the gutter and test rolled to determine any areas of
subgrade correction that are needed prior to paving. It is anticipated that several
sections of curb and gutter will need to be replaced. JESSICA COURT
Jessica Court is proposed to be milled two inches deep and overlaid with a new
bituminous surface. It is anticipated that after milling some areas
may need to be full depth patched prior to repaving of the bituminous wear
course.
