MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 26, 2011 <br />CONSENT <br />AGENDA <br />examine its ordinance to make sure potential applications of this nature are <br />managed. The City Planner presented a proposed ordinance amendment <br />which would create a prohibited use section in the I -1 and I -P Districts <br />listing these potential uses as prohibited as outlined in his report dated <br />January 7, 2011. <br />Keis asked about portable asphalt and concrete ready -mix plants that <br />might be a part of a major construction project. The Planner noted that the <br />State would be exempt from the City's ordinances relative to the need for <br />these uses as part of a major highway reconstruction, for example. The <br />Planner indicated that the County would likely be subject to City <br />ordinances, however. McGraw noted that the intent was to prohibit a <br />long -term operation versus a 6 -month operation that was part of a major <br />construction project. <br />There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on <br />this matter. <br />Upon motion by Keis, seconded by McGraw, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -1 -28 APPROVING THE AMENDMENT <br />TO THE ZONING CODE RELATING TO THE CREATION OF <br />PROHIBITED USES IN THE 1 -1 AND I -P ZONING DISTRICTS AS <br />PRESENTED BY THE CITY PLANNER ADDRESSING <br />SPECIFICALLY ASPHALT PLANTS, CONCRETE READY -MIX <br />PLANTS, AND OTHER AGGREGATE MATERIALS PROCESSING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -1 -29 APPROVING THE CONSENT <br />AGENDA WHICH CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING: <br />*APPROVAL OF THE VOUCHERS; <br />*APPROVAL OF FINAL PAY REQUEST FOR T.A.
