11. The all bedrooms must contain no more that 30% storage. Storage must be limited to cabinets, closets and furniture. Please see attached sheets for storage requirements. 12. The bathroom must be free of all storage and must be fully functioning. 13. Dwelling must have adequate fire detection (smoke alarms) and a carbon monoxide detector within 10 feet of all sleeping units (bedrooms). Please review the following guidelines that are being presented. These will apply during the process of bringing the above property into compliance. Option 1 — Voluntary Process • Full cooperation by owner during the process to bring storage to a safe level. Owner provides the labor to conduct the cleaning of the property. • The Fire Marshal will be available during the cleaning process and will conduct weekly inspections. The owner shall be present at the time of inspection. If the owner is not present, an inspector report indicating compliance status will be left on the front door of the home. • Consistent progress must be made. In the event timelines are not met, the City of Little Canada will proceed with option # 2 as listed below. Cleanup Timelines • The kitchen counter tops must be free of clutter, kitchen surfaces including appliances must be of a clean and sanitary, the kitchen floor space is limited to storage of 20% of total space and must be clean and sanitary. The kitchen area must be in compliance by May 4, 2011. • All hallways, stairways and landings must be free of storage, must be clean and sanitary and must be in compliance by May 18, 2011. • The bathroom must be free of all storage and must be fully functioning. The bathroom must be clean and sanitary and in compliance by May 25, 2011. • The dining room area is limited to storage of 20% of total space. The dining room area and must be clean and sanitary and be in compliance by June 15, 2011. • The master bedroom (Bedroom #1) which is used for sleeping is limited to storage of 20% of the total space. The master bedroom must be clean and sanitary and must be compliance by June 29, 2011. • Bedroom #2 which if not used for sleeping is allowed to have storage up to 50% of the total space. Bedroom #2 must be clean and sanitary and must be in compliance by July 6, 2011. • Bedroom #3 which if not used for sleeping is allowed to have storage up to 50% of the total space. Bedroom #3 must be clean and sanitary and must be in compliance by July 13, 2011. • The basement area must have three feet of clear space around the furnace, water heater, and electrical panels. The basement is limited to storage of 50% of total space and stacked no higher than two feet from the ceiling. The basement area must be clean and sanitary and in compliance by August 10, 2011.
