MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 8, 2011 <br />CONSENT <br />AGENDA <br />Boss introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -6 -109 — APPROVING THE CONSENT <br />AGENDA WHICH CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING: <br />*APPROVAL OF THE VOUCHERS; <br />*APPROVAL OF TAX INCREMENT FINANCING (TIF) <br />ADMINISTRATION FEE TRANSFER AS RECOMMENDED BY <br />THE FINANCE DIRECTOR; <br />*APPROVING THE INTERFUND LOAN AMENDMENT FOR TIF <br />DISTRICT NO. 5 -1 AS RECOMMENDED BY THE FINANCE <br />DIRECTOR; <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (3). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />TOBACCO The City Administrator noted that at its last meeting, the Council directed <br />ORDINANCE the City Attorney to prepare an amendment to the Tobacco Ordinance <br />establishing a 6 -month license period. This will provide the Council time <br />to study the issues of tobacco sampling. In conjunction with this <br />amendment, an amendment is proposed to the City's fee schedule to <br />modify the annual $250 tobacco license fee to a six -month fee of $125. <br />The Administrator also noted that there is no need to reduce the maximum <br />number of tobacco licenses as was discussed at the last meeting, as the <br />business who indicated they would not be renewing has changed its mind. <br />Mr. Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -6 -110 — ADOPTING AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING CHAPTER 802 OF THE LITTLE CANADA CITY CODE <br />RELATING TO TOBACCO PRODUCTS ESTABLISHING A SIX- <br />MONTH TOBACCO LICENSE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. <br />Ayes (3). <br />Nays (0).
