MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 20, 2011 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (1) Blesener. Resolution adopted. <br />CUP PERMIT- Blesener opened the Public Hearing to consider a request for Conditional <br />5 SOUTH Use Permit for outdoor storage of semi -truck and trailer parking at 5 South <br />OWASSO Owasso Blvd., Robert Dolle, Croesus LLC. It was noted that both the <br />BLVD. — City Planner and the Planning Commission recommended approval <br />ROBERT subject to conditions. <br />DOLLE <br />The City Planner indicated that there was previously a Conditional Use <br />Permit for outdoor storage for this property, but that permit lapsed for <br />non -use a couple of years ago. The Planner noted that this is a unique <br />parcel in that the northern portion of the site is zoned 1 -1 and the southern <br />portion I -P. With regard to outdoor storage on the I -1 portion of the site, <br />the ordinance was changed from the time the initial CUP was granted and <br />now limits outdoor storage to 60% of the lot area, or a maximum of about <br />1.36 acres for this site. The 1 -1 outdoor storage complies with the Code. <br />With regard to outdoor storage on the I -P portion of the site, the Code <br />requires that outdoor storage be behind the rear line of the building, and no <br />more than 25% of the building size or 10% of the lot area, whichever is <br />less. The proposed outdoor storage will have to be moved behind the rear <br />line of the building. Doing so will eliminate 6 to 8 semi - trucks and /or <br />trailers making the outdoor storage Code compliant. The Planner also <br />noted that the Fire Marshal has indicated that the property will meet the <br />Fire Code. <br />The Planner recommended approval of the CUP request subject to the <br />conditions outlined in his June 3, 2011 report which include the following: <br />1. Removal of truck parking and storage from the area of the lot that <br />is closer to South Owasso Blvd. than the rear line of the building to <br />meet both the location requirements of the ordinance and <br />maximum storage area requirements of 25% of the building square <br />footage. <br />2. Verification of compliance with the original landscape /screening <br />plan. <br />3. Provide information on site lighting and refuse - handling <br />equipment. <br />4. Confirmation of the Fire Marshal with drive aisle spacing and any <br />other fire code issues. <br />4 <br />
