MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
JUNE 20, 2011
The Planner indicated that the applicant has indicated that the site does
comply with the original landscape plan. He also indicated that the site
plan should be modified to identify site lighting and refuse handling.
Blesener indicated that when he viewed the site, it appeared that there
were more than 6 to 8 semi- trucks and /or trailers that would have to he
moved. The Planner replied that his estimates are based on a review of
aerial photography for the site. He indicated that moving the outdoor
storage to behind the rear line of the building will result in compliance on
the I -P portion of the site.
Blesener asked Mr. Dolle if he utilized outdoor storage in front of the
building under his previous CUP. Robert Dolle, Croesus LLC, replied that
he did occasionally, but indicated that it is not easy to maneuver trailers
into those slots. Dolle stated that while more outdoor storage is better, the
recommendations of the City Planner can be complied with. Dolle
reported that his tenant will have more car parking than he did when the
site was utilized by D & T Trucking. McGraw asked if car parking did not
qualify as outdoor storage. The Planner replied that that was correct; car
parking does not count as outdoor storage.
Blesener asked if the use would be similar to D & T Trucking. Dolle
replied that the tenant would be a car transporter. The business would
have a mixture of empty and loaded car transporter trailers. Montour
asked if vehicles would be off - loaded when trailers needed repairs, stating
that he did not want to see the site full of parked cars. Dolle reported that
occasionally it may be necessary to unload cars to fix a trailer, but that
would be only occasionally.
There was no one else present from the general public wishing to
comment on this matter.
Upon motion by Keis, seconded by Boss, the public hearing was closed.
Mr. Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -6 -117 — APPROVING THE CONDITIONAL
USE PERMIT FOR THE OUTDOOR STORAGE OF SEMI -TRUCK
AND TRAILER PARKING AT 5 SOUTH OWASSO BLVD., ROBERT
DOLLE, CROESUS LLC, SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE
RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY PLANNER AS OUTLINED IN
HIS REPORT DATED JUNE 3, 2011 AND THE
RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION
5
