MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AUGUST 24, 2011 <br />CUP — <br />3030 <br />CENTERVILLE <br />ROAD — <br />5 SMOS <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2011-8-159 — AMENDING THE ZONING CODE <br />ESTABLISHING STANDARDS FOR THE OUTDOOR STORAGE OF <br />SHIPPING CONTAINERS IN THE INDUSTRIAL -PARK (I -P) <br />DISTRICT AS PROPOSED BY THE CITY PLANNER <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Blesener opened the Public Hearing to consider the application of John <br />Manzitelli, 5 SMOS LLC, for a Conditional Use Permit to allow outdoor <br />storage of materials and equipment, including a storage container, on his <br />property at 3030 Centerville Road. The City Planner and the Planning <br />Commission recommended approval subject to conditions. <br />The City Planner reported that 5 SMOS LLC currently has a storage <br />container on their property at 3030 Centerville Road and has requested a <br />CUP for this outdoor storage. He noted that based on the Code <br />requirements relative to the amount of outdoor storage allowed, this <br />property would be allowed a total of 500 square feet. The storage <br />container is approximately 320 square feet, therefore, an additional 180 <br />square feet of storage would be allowed. The Planner noted that the <br />outdoor storage proposed would comply with the amendment to the I -P <br />District which was just approved by the Council. The Planner noted that <br />there are currently some property conditions that need attention, and <br />subject to these being addressed, staff is recommending approval of the <br />CUP. The Planner indicated that the Code Enforcement Officer would <br />inspect the property to ensure compliance. <br />Randy Peterson, 5 SMOS, reported that they have started cleaning up the <br />site, and have no objections to complying with the recommendation <br />There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on <br />this matter. <br />Upon motion by Montour, seconded by McGraw, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -8 -160 - APPROVING THE CONDITIONAL <br />USE PERMIT TO ALLOW OUTDOOR STORAGE OF MATERIALS <br />13 <br />
