2001. ADOPTION BY REFERENCE OF THE MINNESOTA UNTFOR/I STATE FIRE CODE <br />2001.010. ADOPTION OF FIRE CODE. The City Council of the City of Little Canada <br />hereby adopts the 2003 2007 Minnesota State Fire Code for the purpose of prescribing regulations <br />governing conditions hazardous to life and property from fire or explosion. The adoption of the <br />2003 2007 Minnesota State Fire Code includes the adoption of all amendments adopted from time to <br />time. The 2043 2007 Minnesota State Fire Code is hereby incorporated in this ordinance as if fully <br />set out herein. <br />2001.020. ENFORCEMENT. <br />(A) The Chief of the Fire Department serving the City, or his representative authorized by <br />him, shall enforce the provisions of this Ordinance. <br />(B) The Chief of the Fire Department may detail such members of the Fire Department as <br />inspectors as shall from time to time become necessary. The Chief of the Fire Department may <br />recommend the employment of technical inspectors, who, when such authorization is made, shall be <br />selected through an examination to determine their fitness for the position. The examination shall be <br />open to members and non - members of the Fire Department and appointments made after <br />examination shall be for an indefinite term with removal only for cause. <br />2001.030. DEFINITIONS. <br />(A) Wherever the word "jurisdiction" is used in the Minnesota Uniform State Fire Code, <br />it shall be held to mean the City of Little Canada. <br />(B) Wherever the term "corporation counsel" is used in the Minnesota Uniti>rn State Fire <br />Code, it shall be held to mean the attorney for the City of Little Canada. <br />2001.040. ESTABLISHMENT OF LIMITS OF DISTRICTS IN WHICH STORAGE OF <br />FLAMMABLE OR COMBUSTIBLE LIQUIDS IN OUTSIDE ABOVE - GROUND TANKS IS TO <br />BE PROHIBITED. <br />(A) The limits referred to in Sew„ ,2O4- Chwters 22, 27 and 34 of the Minnesota <br />Uni a State Fire Code in which storage of flammable or combustible liquids in outside <br />above - ground tanks is prohibited, are hereby established as follows: There shall be no storage of <br />such flammable liquids within fifty (50) feet of any building or structure. Excption:Occupanc <br />classification R3 (residential) home heating fuel oil tanks. <br />(B) The limits referred to in Section 4-5404 3406.4 of the Minnesota thii-ftrrrn State Fire <br />Code in which new bulk plants for flammable or combustible liquids are prohibited, are hereby <br />established as follows: No bulk plants shall be permitted within the corporate limits of the City. <br />2001 -1 <br />10 <br />
