Fun —We promote an environment where fun is encouraged. <br />Strategic Goals (By 2012) <br />Goal 1: Expand Programs /Services <br />1. Define a program model for NYFS the defines a "continuum of care" that enriches, <br />prevents, educates, and treats depending on what is needed and the desired results of <br />each element of the model <br />2. Explore and implement as appropriate <br />a. stronger relationships and /or consolidation with existing youth program within <br />suburban Ramsey County <br />b. replication of the NETS program with additional entities <br />c. use of technology as a means of service delivery and communication with <br />youth <br />d. provision of a home based service model <br />3. Provide more culturally appropriate and /or culturally specific services <br />4. Maintain and strengthen the Community Social Worker Program <br />5. Deepen diversion programs to be more effective (skill development, restorative <br />justice, community work opportunities, recidivism) <br />6. Reduce wait time for psychiatric services to one month <br />Goat 2: Strengthen Community Partnerships <br />1. Develop and approve a board policy for community programs in the context of <br />community partnerships — defining a model of service, population, funding, <br />community involvement, and other decision - making criteria <br />2. Expand programs and services with existing school partners <br />3. Ensure culturally competent and culturally specific services are delivered throughout <br />NYFS (Includes: Building stronger relationships with community organizations, <br />Identifying and contracting with culturally specific practitioners, provide space for <br />culturally specific providers to co- locate at NYFS) <br />4. Increase diversity on board and staff <br />5. Develop opportunities for participation/inclusion of populations served in planning, <br />evaluating, and delivering of needed services <br />6. Build stronger relationships with county law enforcement, courts, referral agencies, <br />court professionals, and human services <br />7. Develop stronger relationships with faith communities <br />Goal 3: Develop public awareness /advocacy initiatives <br />1. Document unmet needs and educate board, staff and partners about the issues youth <br />and families are dealing with <br />Center for Policy, Planning, and Performance 3 <br />- 1 4 - <br />
