ORDER TO CORRECT HAZARDOUS CONDITION OF BUILDING
PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA STATUTES $463.17
TO: Vahid Sedaghat, and
Valor Enterprises, 3165 -3167 Spruce Street and
The City of Little Canada has found that because of inadequate maintenance,
dilapidation, physical damage, unsanitary condition, or abandonment, the Building
located at 3167 Spruce Street, Little Canada, Minnesota ( "the Building ") constitutes
a fire hazard or a hazard to public safety or health. Therefore, pursuant to Minnesota
Statutes §463.15, Subd. 3, the City of Little Canada hereby declares that such Building
constitutes a Hazardous Building. The specific grounds for this declaration are as
follows:
1. The Building is hazardous because of the accumulation of debris,
automobiles and other obstacles throughout the building. This is a
hazardous condition from a fire perspective as no pathways exist from
within the Building to Building egress points.
2. The Building is hazardous because there are combustible materials stored
throughout. The storage of such combustible materials constitutes a fire
hazard due to the presence of such combustible materials in unsafe
proximity to electrical and /or mechanical components within the Building.
3. The paint booth contained in the Building was constructed without
necessary permits and does not comply with the Minnesota State Fire
Code, the International Building Code, the International Mechanical Code,
or ICC Electrical Codes. The paint booth is hazardous from a fire,
building code, and electrical perspective due to the code violations noted
above, and due to improper ventilation, improper wiring, and a complete
tack of fire protection or detection equipment.
4. The room in the Building which contains paint and other chemicals does
not meet applicable fire codes. This room is hazardous because of its
design, the improper storage of chemicals, and the combined business use
of the Building.
1
2-
