5. Several mezzanine /shelving areas ( "Shelving ") have been constructed
without permits. Such Shelving is being used for storage of
automobile parts, equipment and debris which impose very heavy loads on
the Shelving, resulting in unsafe stresses on the structural members of the
Building. These Shelving areas constitute a Building Code hazard.
In addition to the conditions deemed hazardous herein, it should be noted that
numerous additional code, fire and electrical violations are currently present on entire
property located at 3165/3167 Spnice Street, Little Canada, Minnesota.
Vahid Sedaghat and Valor Enterprises have been advised of the hazardous
conditions of the Building. To date, Vahid Sedaghat and /or Valor Enterprises have failed
to correct the hazardous conditions. Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes §463.17, you now
have twenty (20) days from the date of this order to take the following corrective action
to remedy the hazardous conditions of the Building:
1. The debris, automobiles and other obstructions located in the Building
shall be removed to the extent necessary for all means of egress to be
unobstructed and such that a pathway of at least 36 inches in width is
cleared to each such point of egress. Automobiles removed from the
Building must also be removed from the entire property located at
3165/3167 Spruce Street.
2. All combustibles shall be removed from the electrical room of the
Building. All other combustibles located in the Building shall either be
removed or stored within the Building in a manner compliant with the
Minnesota State Fire Code.
3. The paint booth in the Building shall be removed in its entirety, or the
paint booth shall be brought into compliance with all applicable building,
fire and electrical codes.
4. All paint and other flammable chemicals shall be removed from the room
in the Building where such items are currently located. All paint and other
flammable chemicals which remain in the Building shall be stored in
proper flammable storage cabinets, or in a newly constructed storage and
mixing room which is compliant with all applicable building, fire and
electrical codes.
2
3
