She stated that the Mayor <br />should also make a recommendation for the Chair position. <br />Malone introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIONNO. 2025-12-193 —APPOINTING TAELOR JOHNSONAND MONIKA <br />MILLER TO THREE-YEAR TERMS FROM 2026 — 2028 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Kwapick. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mayor Fischer stated that he -recommends Taelor Johnson to continue to serve as Chair of the Planning <br />Commission. He noted that she has served as Chair for a few years and advised of a preference in the <br />future to rotate that position. <br />Mayor Fischer introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2025-12-194 —APPOINTING TAEL OR JOHNSON AS THE <br />PLANNING COMMISSION CHAIR FOR 2026 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Kwapick. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />2026 PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSIONER APPOINTMENTS AND SELECTION <br />OF 2026 PARKS AND RECREATION CHAIR <br />The Assistant City Administrator explained that the Council is asked to consider the appointment of <br />Kate Williams and Lizzie Gelderman to three-year terms on the Park Commission. She noted that this <br />would be a reappointment for Commissioner Williams and a new appointment for Ms. Gelderman. <br />She stated that the mayor will make a recommendation for the position of Chair for the Commission. <br />She commented that the current Chair, Ron Horwath, has served his three full terms and therefore is <br />unable to continue to serve, recognizing him for his service to the community. <br />Miller thanked Ron Horwath for his ten years of service on the Parks and Recreation Commission, <br />noting that he spent eight of those years on the Commission with him and recognized the things they <br />were able to accomplish during that time. <br />Malone introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2025-12-195 — APPOINTING KA TE WILLIAMS AND LIZZIE <br />GELDERMAN TO THREE-YEAR TERMS FROM 2026 — 2028 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly -seconded by Miller. <br />Ayes (5).
