J. Residential Dwelling Unit. A residential dwelling unit is any single family dwelling <br />unit and each unit of a duplex. A residential dwelling unit shall not include: mobile <br />homes, tri- plexes, four - plexes, town homes, condominiums, or apartment buildings. <br />K. Rubbish. Rubbish is solid waste, including ashes, consisting of both combustible and <br />noncombustible wastes, such as wood, bedding, crockery, and other non - reuseable <br />waste. Rubbish also includes non - recyclable types of glass, paper, cardboard, and -metal <br />cans and plastics. <br />L. Town home. Structures containing two or more units of not more than two (2) stories <br />each and contiguous to each other. Said units shall also be governed by an association <br />for the entire series of structures within any such development. <br />M. Toxic and Hazardous Wastes. Toxic and hazardous wastes are waste materials <br />including, but not limited to, liquid paint, motor oils, batteries, poisons, pesticides, <br />herbicides, acids, caustics, pathological wastes, radioactive materials, flammable or <br />explosive materials, and similar harmful chemicals and wastes which require special <br />handling and must be disposed of in a manner to conserve the environment and protect <br />public health and safety. <br />N. White Goods. Household appliances including items such as refrigerators, stoves, <br />dishwashers, washers and dryers, water heaters, microwave ovens, furnaces, air <br />conditioners and dehumidifiers. <br />0. Yard Waste. All compostiblc organic plant material that can be composted including <br />grass clippings, leaves, soft garden material, brush and tree limbs under four inches in <br />diameter and four feet in length provided they are bundled with twine or other organic <br />material. <br />IV. SCOPE OF CONTRACT. <br />A. Collection Service Provided by Contractor. <br />1. Garbage and Refuse Collection. <br />a. Description. Refuse collection service shall include the collection of all <br />garbage and refuse from residential dwelling units in the City of Little <br />Canada. Yard waste and recyclables shall be collected separately. Included <br />in the cost of this service is the collection of one Christmas tree not <br />wrapped in a plastic bag free of ornaments and tinsel annually from every <br />residential dwelling unit. Cost for this service is described in Attachment <br />"A." <br />b. Exclusions. Refuse collection service shall not include the collection of: <br />-3- <br />5 <br />
