The Contractor shall not make any changes to this single sort collection system without written approval of the City. Failure to receive City approval for any such changes to the single sort collection system shall be considered by the City as a breach of this Agreement subject to termination. The Contractor shall work with the City to provide necessary written educational materials on the single sort system for residents including a legible sticker placed on each container that lists approved recyclable items. d. Two Sort System. Gene's Disposal customers shall be instructed to commingle two groups of all materials. (1) All food and beverage containers, including glass, metal and plastic bottles /jugs with a neck; and (2) all paper fiber products, including newspapers, magazines, mixed mail, catalogs, phone books and corrugated cardboard. The Contractor shall not make any changes to this "two -sort" collection/processing system without written approval of the City. Failure to receive City approval for any such changes to the "two -sort" collection/processing system prior to implementation for City collections or material processing shall be considered by the City as a breach of this Agreement subject to termination. e. Location. Residential dwelling units shall have their recyclables in the approved single sort containers provided by the Contractor located at the boulevard adjoining the curb on or before 7:00 a.m. on the designated day of collection. f Frequency. Each residential dwelling unit shall have its recyclables collected every -other week (except Gene's Disposal customer who will remain on an every week schedule) on the same day as refuse collection service. The Contractor shall provide an annual calendar to each resident by no later than December 20`" that indicates the collection dates for the upcoming year. g. Reporting. Tonnages of recyclables collected shall be reported to the City on a bi- annual basis. These tonnages must be reported by individual materials collected and the place where the recyclables are_delivered must be disclosed. If the tonnages are estimates, the method of estimation must also be disclosed and Contractor will do everything possible to ensure the accuracy of estimates. h. Conveyance of Recyclables. The Contractor shall be responsible for the safe, legal, and environmentally sound conveyance of all recyclables collected under this Contract. The Contractor shall convey the -7-
