RAMSEY COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
PATROL DIVISION
MEMORANDUM
DATE: June ls`, 2006
TO: Kathy Glanzer, Little Canada City Hall
FROM: Lt. Mike Salter
RE: Coliseum Billiards
We reviewed calk for service at Coliseum Billiards in light of the letter of complaint
from the residents of the Garden Terrace buildings. We also reviewed the activities
associated with Coliseum Billiards with our Little Canada squads and the shift
supervisors.
We ran the police calls for Coliseum Billiards for the past three years. Since Coliseum is
in a shopping center, we got the calls for all of the businesses at that address when we ran
the address of 2900 Rice Street. We tried to identify the businesses associated with the
calls on this report.
Since the letter of complaint refers to issues that have occurred on the property of the two
Garden Terrace buildings, we also ran police calls for service for the past three years for
those buildings, as well.
Our review of the police calls associated with Coliseum Billiards shows no significant
crime problems at that business. The police calls for service for the Garden Terrace show
an absence of reported criminal incidents or disorderly activities at those buildings. Our
Little Canada Deputies also report that they have not had any history of problems at
Coliseum Billiards.
If these activities are occurring, they need to be reported. Our Crime Prevention Deputy,
Dan Ruettimann, is available to work with the residents of the Garden Terrace
Association to establish a Neighborhood Watch program in their buildings and to train
residents in reporting suspicious or disorderly activities at the buildings.
