MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 28, 2026 <br />Plan and the action items that have been completed for each item, as well as those that are still in <br />progress or upcoming. <br />The Assistant City Administrator provided additional information on the process for the brand guide <br />and the connection that item has to many other tasks. She commented that she will be spending more <br />time on that item as it needs to be completed before many other items can move forward. <br />Mayor Fischer appreciated the progress that has been made, recognizing that they are still early on. He <br />asked if any objectives are materially behind or problematic. <br />The City Administrator commented that he has no concerns today, as they are still early in the process. <br />He stated that staff is having six -week check -ins to stay on top of things and identify any added <br />support or actions that may be needed. He recognized the work of the Assistant City Administrator to <br />keep everyone on task and for creating the tracking process. <br />Mayor Fischer expressed pride in the Strategic Plan and how the city follows its Strategic Plan. <br />Miller commented that it is great to see the items and actions within the Plan and the reviews that <br />continue to be done. <br />Mayor Fischer asked if the Plan would be revisited mid-2027. The City Administrator confirmed that <br />a lot can change in five -years, noting that this is a five-year plan, and agreed that they would be doing <br />a midpoint review to determine any changes that may be necessary. <br />Kwapick recognized that while some items within the Plan are self-imposed, others are mandated. He <br />asked for more information on one of those mandated items within the Plan related to accessibility. <br />The Assistant City Administrator stated that the city has a 2027 deadline for that action. She stated <br />that in 2025, the Council authorized staff to use a software that identifies issues of noncompliance for <br />accessibility. She provided more information on the work staff is doing to ensure compliance as they <br />move forward. <br />2025 CITY YEAR IN REVIEW <br />The City Administrator presented the 2025 year in review to the Council. <br />The Parks and Recreation Director provided additional details on the community garden, farmers <br />market, and program participation in response to questions from the Council. <br />The Assistant City Administrator continued with the 2025 year in review. <br />The City Administrator recognized the work of staff and the support of the Council, which allowed all <br />of these things to be accomplished. <br />Kwapick recognized the great things that were accomplished during the year, both planned and <br />unplanned, acknowledging that it is impressive given the small size of the City and its staff. <br />COUNCIL REPORTS AND MEETING UPDATES <br />Malone had nothing to report. <br />0 <br />
