The four strategic directions include: <br />Delivering Dynamic Spaces <br />Creating Supportive Networks <br />Empowering High Performance <br />Providing Transparent Communication <br />The City Council approved the 2025-2030 Strategic Plan on May 14, 2025, with corresponding <br />action items for each strategic direction. <br />2025-2030 Strategic Plan Reporting Overview: <br />Four Strategic Directions were developed as part of the 2025-2030 Strategic Plan. Within each <br />Strategic Direction are Action Items and Key Outcome Indicators to accomplish the city's goals. To <br />ensure strategic planning initiatives are continuing to fruition, staff established a recurring meeting <br />every six weeks and plan to provide City Council with updates regarding the status of the action <br />items quarterly at a City Council meeting. <br />Understanding the Progress Reporting Overview <br />Completion status for each action item is being monitored through a percentage tracking system. <br />The status for each item can be broken into categories and is based on 100% as a completion <br />percentage. <br />Completion Percent Tracking Legend <br />On Track: Work for the action item is on track <br />Some Delay: Work for the action item is delayed between 1-3 years <br />Upcoming: Work for the action item is planned and upcoming <br />Complete: Work for action item is complete and/or now considered on-going <br />Progressed Paused: Work for action item paused to address other priorities <br />Not Started: Work on the action item has not started yet <br />Removed: Action items are no longer a priority. <br />New 2025-2030 Strategic Plan Progress Dashboards <br />On December 13, 2023, staff presented an updated methodology for reporting the status of the <br />strategic plan. Staff have been using this methodology since, providing status updates on the city’s <br />website every six weeks. <br />The city now utilizes Monday.com, a project management tool, to track progress for the strategic <br />plan. This public-facing dashboard allows viewers to get the most up-to-date information on the <br />status of the strategic plan online. The dashboard is updated every six weeks following the <br />department head team meeting, with updates automatically being pushed and shared to the website. <br />Previously, staff manually updated the status charts and website. <br />Users can view the entire strategic plan dashboard and/or each individual Strategic Direction status <br />depending on preference and interest. Action items are outlined in detail in a table-style format, <br />with overall status and responsibility visible in a pie chart. <br />2025 Quarter 3 Status Update: <br />Strategic Direction 1: Delivering Dynamic Spaces <br />Little Canada aims to connect the community by linking trails and sidewalks, as well as creating a <br />community building for public gatherings. The city places a high value on keeping a small-town <br />feel and sense of community.
