Staff Report <br />To:Mayor Fischer and Members of the City Council <br />From:Heidi Heller, City Clerk/HR Manager <br />Steve Anderson, Parks & Recreation Director <br />Date: January 28, 2026 <br />Re:Approve Hire of New Recreation Coordinator <br />Action To Be Considered: <br />Motion to approve, table, or deny the following: <br />Hiring of Gina Brady as Recreation Coordinator. <br />Background: <br />Recreation Coordinator Emelie Lindabaur resigned on December 17, and Council authorized <br />staff to advertise the position. The city received 88 applications, and 12 candidates were selected <br />for interviews with the Parks & Recreation Director, Assistant City Administrator, and City <br />Clerk/HR Manager. Three of the candidates were then selected for a second interview with the <br />Parks & Recreation Director, Assistant City Administrator, and City Administrator. <br />Gina Brady was chosen as the finalist and offered the position. She has accepted the job offer <br />and will start on February 11, 2026. Gina has a bachelor’s degree in Recreation Parks and <br />Leisure Services and nine years of experience as a city Recreation Coordinator and Recreation <br />Supervisor. She has planned and executed many recreation programs and events, along with <br />having an active role in advertising and marketing the programs. <br />Staff Recommendations: <br />Staff recommends the Council approve the hire of Gina Brady as Recreation Coordinator.
