MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 13, 2008 <br />THE CITY'S WATER TOWER AS PRESENTED BY THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF <br />OF THE CITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator noted that each of these lease agreements generates <br />approximately $20,000 in revenue each year for the City. <br />HEATHER The City Administrator noted that the Council recently discussed the <br />OAKS proposed land dedication for property adjacent to the Heather Oaks <br />LAND townhome development to the City by Mr. Ed Dropps. The Administrator <br />DEDICATION reported that at the direction of the Council he discussed with Mr. Dropps <br />the potential for his development of the lots east of Nature Way as well as <br />Mr. Dropps responsibility for the payment of property taxes due in 2008. <br />The City Administrator reported that he discussed the issues with Mr. <br />Dropps who has indicated that he is not interested in developing the <br />property east of Nature Way, but would prefer to dedicate this land to the <br />City. Mr. Dropps also indicated his willingness to pay 2008 property taxes <br />and complete the land dedication prior to June 30~' so that the City can file <br />for exempt status with the County for taxes that would otherwise be <br />payable in 2009. <br />The City Administrator indicated that if the Council so desires, he would <br />inform Mr. Dropps that there is interest in the acceptance of this property <br />so that he can move forward subject to the appropriate environmental <br />warranties. <br />Mr. Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIONNO. 2008-2-37 -DECLARING THE CITY'S <br />INTEREST IN THE LAND DEDICATION PROPOSED BY MR.
