Basis of Compensation
Elfering & Associates intends to build on the relationship that has been established with
City staff members to provide city engineering services with the best interests of the City
in mind. We would propose that a majority of the work for the City be accomplished on
an hourly basis. The following schedule of positions and hourly rates details our billing
rates for 2004 and 2005. These billing rates would be used for general City Engineering
services noted under the scope of services, excluding project related items as noted
below.
City of Little Canada
2004/2005 Hourly Rate Schedule
City Engineer
Project Manager
Project Engineer II
Project Engineer I
Staff Engineer II
Staff Engineer I
Engineering Technician
CAD Technician
Field Inspector II
Field Inspector I
$100.00
$100.00
$ 90.00
$ 82.00
$ 75.00
$ 70.00
$ 75.00 - $ 80.00
$ 60.00 - $ 70.00
$ 75.00
$ 65.00
Reimbursable Expenses
1. No materials or supplies will be billed.
We would propose to complete project work at the hourly rates provided above with an
hourly maximum not to exceed based on the following breakdown.
Below $100,000
$100,000 - $250,000
$250,000 - $500,000
Above $500,000
Hourly
Hourly / maximum 25% of const. cost
Hourly / maximum 22.5% of const. cost
Hourly / maximum 20% of const. cost
Project work would include the informational meeting, feasibility preparation, public
hearing, design, construction inspection, construction staking, and construction
administration. The need for right -of -way would be identified within the hourly /maximum
cost, but the actual cost of assisting in the acquisitions and preparation of the easement
descriptions and exhibits would be at an additional hourly cost, Subconsultant work
such as geotechnical services and other reimbursable expenses would also be in
addition to the maximum not to exceed. Surveying and Inspection are included within
the maximum fee calculation.
