Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as assigned or as required. <br />PHYSICAL DEMANDS <br />The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an <br />employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable <br />accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential <br />functions. <br />Performing the duties of the job requires considerable hand /eye coordination, manual dexterity <br />and extensive periods of time reading a computer monitor and repetitive alm /hand motions for <br />word processing. The employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools <br />or controls and to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand or move about, <br />reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. <br />The employee must occasionally lift and /or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Specific <br />vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, depth <br />perception and the ability to adjust focus. <br />WORK ENVIRONMENT <br />The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee <br />encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations <br />may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. <br />Work is performed both in office scttings and outside and in all weather conditions - rain, heat, <br />cold, etc. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, <br />precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and /or humid conditions, or risk of <br />electrical shock. <br />The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in the office, and moderate to loud in <br />the field. <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS <br />1. High school diploma or G.E.D. <br />2. Demonstrate a working knowledge of the Uniform Building Code. <br />3. Valid Minnesota Driver's License. <br />4. Minimum of at least two (2) years of Municipal Building Inspection experience. <br />5. Low absenteeism from the job. <br />6.
